Reindeer Run
This run, which is the third leg
of the Triple Crown of Running, is a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. A portion of the proceeds from this event will
go to the Empty Pantry Fund. Awards will be given to the overall and masters winners and the top three finishers in each age
division. Prizes will also be given to the best Christmas costumes. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a
ribbon. The Triple Crown of Running
award ceremony will take place at this event.

FISH FOR JESUS – JULY 18 10:00AM – 5:00 PM
Free. This
annual event at the
EMANCIPATION CELEBRATION – AUGUST 8 WITH TIME TO BE
ANNOUNCED.
This is a day in the African-American community that
recognizes the abolition of slavery. Whether celebrated in May, August,
or even February, a cultural holiday with speeches, fellowship, vendors, and lots of food. Celebrations occur on the date the state
received the word and/or were occupied by Northern forces.
ALCOA BIKKER BROTHAS’ KIDDS’ BASH – AUGUST 15
12:00-5:00 PM
Free to children Ages 6-18. An annual back-to-school celebration
sponsored by our own community bikers’ club. These fine young men and
women opt to do this every year with very limited sponsorship. The day is
filled with games, food, back-to-school prizes and supplies, motorcycle safety
demonstrations, and lots more. Volunteer parents are welcome and
