HEALTHY BLOUNT
TRIPLE CROWN OF RUNNING

The Reindeer Run 5k, the third leg of the 2011 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running, sponsored by Parks & Rec and area sponsors, had a record number of 648 participants at this year's race on Sunday, December 4 in downtown Maryville.  Several participants dressed in Christmas attire which made the event have a festive atmosphere!  Alan Horton was the first place male finisher with a time of 16:23, and Kathy Wolski was the first place female finisher with a time of 19:02.  This was the final event in the 2011 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running that is sponsored by Ruby Tuesday, Marathon/Mr. Gas stations, Maryville Orthopedic Clinic, and Parks & Recreation.  Following the Reindeer Run awards, the Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running Awards were given to the top three Male and Female winners in the Overall and Masters Divisions (view results for both the Reindeer Run and Triple Crown of Running below).  The Triple Crown series will begin again in April of 2012 with the Spring Sprint 5K in Alcoa.
