Lots of smiles at the 1st Annual “Tiny Tot” Triathlon
Parks & Rec, the City of Alcoa, Foothills Pediatrics, Foothills Pediatric Dentistry, and ABC Monogramming sponsored the 1st annual Tiny Tot Triathlon for 3 to 6 year olds on Sunday, September 9. The weather was perfect and over 85 kids and their families participated at the duck pond area in Alcoa! Participants brought their bikes and rode ¼ mile, ran 200 yards, and then finished by getting wet under the fire truck hose and water slide area. They were then rewarded with a medallion, a goody bag, and a games area to play in after they finished. Special thanks also goes to the Alcoa Police and Fire Departments and all the other volunteers who worked that day to help make the event safe and loads of fun for everyone. Plans are being made for another event again next year!
