*Facility may close early on occasion due to a special event or rental.
This multi-purpose center has two meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, a computer lab with controlled internet access and Wi-Fi. A small meeting room also serves as a library with a variety of children’s books. There is also an outdoor playground, volleyball net, soccer goals, gaga ball pit, and basketball courts adjacent to the facility.

Facilities & Rental Fees

The following applies to the rental fees of our community/recreation centers:
A 2-hour minimum is required for most rentals.
Rules apply for decorations and heavy kitchen use/additional $25 cleaning fee may apply based on type of rental.
Leasee must pay a deposit of $40.00 at the time the reservation is made to secure the date of their desired rental, and the remaining balance is due at least three (3) business days prior to rental date. Renters must visit the center in person, pay a $40 deposit and sign a rental agreement to secure rentals.
⚬  Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than thirty (30) days in advance = 25% of deposit retained by Recreation and Parks.  Cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days in advance = 100% of deposit retained by Recreation and Parks.

MLK Living the Dream Enrichment and Afterschool Tutoring Program
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 3:00-6:00 PM         Wednesday 3:00-5:00 PM
This program is available for Kindergarten through Grade 12 and offers computer lab and arts & crafts. Maryville College Bonners, Foster Grandparents, Office of Aging and Faithful volunteers also assist students with reading comprehensive, homework and school projects. Snacks provided.
Senior Program
Monday through Friday 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Recreational activities for seniors Age 55 & older including line dancing, yoga, arts & crafts, walking club, chair exercises, sports activities, educational classes, and more.

Fall Festival at the MLK Center
October 15, 2022  12:00-5:00 PM
Activities will include vendors, games, food and much more.  Come join the fun!

H.O.M.E. for the Holidays
December 3, 2022  12:00-5:00 PM
H.O.M.E.(Hall-Oldfield-MaryvilleEmpowerment) and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center partner for this annual community celebration to kick-off the Christmas holidays. Join us for family fun and light refreshments. If you choose to put a tree in the lower field, please do so prior to the event with the last day being December 1st.  Tree lighting at 6:00 PM.
