The Leon Berrong Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 to allow disadvantaged children to be able to participate in Parks & Recreation programs. Applicants can provide one of the following for scholarship eligibility: proof of free or reduced lunch from school, proof of income (with income being below the income eligibility guidelines), documentation of SNAP eligibility, or documentation of government assistance with housing. All documentation and registration for the scholarship must be done in the Parks & Rec Administration office. Those who qualify will receive three (3) programs at half price per year and must bring in new documentation each year.
